This blog has been set up as a means of communication among members of the Magnolia Chapter. It is also intended to be used by others interested in learning about decorative painting.
Wow, I am impressed. Great Job! I guess it is OK to mention to the members that Library Displays for October is a great way of letting the public know that Decorative Painting is a teachable art and anyone can do it. There is talent in everyone. So adopt a library and put your art work on display. AB
The Magnolia Chapter of the Society of Decorative Painters is dedicated to the teachable art of decorative painting. As defined by the SDP, decorative painting is a diverse art form which utilizes a variety of techniques and media to decorate both functional and nonfunctional surfaces.
As a group, these painters stimulate interest in and share information aboutthis art form. One of their primary goals is education. Not only are they interested in increasing the membership's knowledge of decoraive painting but aso introducing this art form to prospective new painters.
